Forgot to write the post yesterday but I don´t suppose you rushed home to read it :-). Better late than never, yesterday we started with chapter 7 (reading A) and talked about “be going to” which is one way of expressing the future. Hi,

Great to see you again! It´s been a long time ..Today we practised the perfect and giving/listening to street directions. We also talked about “however” which is used to show contrasting ideas.

Here´s a video explaining how to use “however” (but you can put a period after the first sentence and start the second one with however):

2. In Visions: listening A pp. 153-155: listen again. Learn the words p. 154. Do Vocabulary practice 1 p. 154(key) and 2 p. 155 (hand in).

3. In the booklet “Going Places“: look at the weather words p. 138 and do Practice 6 p. 138 and Practice 7 p. 139.

4. In Visons: Follow -up 1 p. 162. Write and hand in. Remember when we talked about general and specific information? Try to use this idea when you write.

Today we were very few people. Anyhow, we did a lot of work. In Visions, we worked with ex. 1 p. 158-159, the reading A text + ex 1 p. 151 and we talked about who/which/where and did ex. 4,5,6 pp. 161-162. Finally we worked with the booklet “Going Places” pp. 130-131.

Hi,

Today we finished unit 5; the only exercises left to do were listening B (great to do before the test) and some exercises practising the present continuous. We have also finished the book about Nelson Mandela. No lessons on Fridays anymore.

1. In Visions, you have ex 2,3 and 4 pp. 143-145 (key) Great for reviewing before the test. Also look at EG and review the grammar.

2. Monday Nov 10: speaking test

3. Wednesday Nov 12: listening, reading, writing, grammar and words from chapters 3-5 in Vision. Look at komvux.net to find out what exactly you have to study. After the test, we will start chapter 6.
